Subukia vocational training centerverified
Overview
Subukia Vocational Training Center is an accredited public TVET facility operating under the oversight of Nakuru County and the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). The center is dedicated to empowering rural youth by providing practical artisan, certificate, and diploma programs examined through national frameworks such as KNEC.
History
Subukia Vocational Training Center began as Subukia Youth Polytechnic, a community-led initiative focused on providing foundational training in woodwork and masonry. In 2018, the institution achieved formal recognition and accreditation from TVETA, enabling it to offer standardized national certifications. To better meet the evolving industrial demands of Nakuru County, the center has been integrated into the structure of Subukia Technical and Vocational College. This integration has significantly enhanced its physical learning spaces, workshop facilities, and the range of technological courses offered.
Mission
To provide students with high-quality, relevant, and accessible technical skills geared toward self-employment and community-level economic self-reliance.
Vision
To become a leading regional hub in Nakuru County for innovative technical training, practical excellence, and technology transfer.
