MATUGA SUB-COUNTY VTCs JOINT GRADUATION CEREMONY (TENTATIVE) Date: 16th July 2026 (Tentative) Venue: Matuga Sub-County (Host Institution to be Confirmed) The Matuga Sub-County Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) Joint Graduation Ceremony is a landmark event scheduled to bring together graduands from thirteen (13) VTCs within Matuga Sub-County, Kwale County. The ceremony marks an important academic and vocational milestone for trainees who have completed various National Industrial Training Authority (NITA)-accredited courses. The event is expected to celebrate the achievements of hundreds of young men and women who have undergone rigorous competency-based training in diverse technical and vocational fields. It serves as a platform to recognize their dedication, skills development, and readiness to enter the labour market or establish self-employment ventures. The ceremony will be graced by H.E. Fatuma Achani, Governor of Kwale County, alongside other county leadership, education stakeholders, industry partners, and guests. Their presence underscores the County Governmentβs continued commitment to strengthening vocational training and youth empowerment through skills development. In addition to the graduation proceedings, the event will feature exhibitions showcasing practical projects, innovations, and products developed by trainees from the participating VTCs. These exhibitions will provide an opportunity for graduands to demonstrate their competencies, creativity, and technical expertise across various disciplines. The ceremony will also create a platform for linkage between graduates and potential employers, industry stakeholders, and business development partners. Through these engagements, graduands are expected to access employment opportunities, apprenticeships, mentorship, and pathways for entrepreneurship and enterprise development. This joint graduation ceremony stands as a celebration of skills, innovation, and empowerment, reflecting the shared vision of building a skilled, self-reliant, and economically productive youth population in Matuga Sub-County and Kwale County at large.
